Comforts
Knowing that human touch is a necessary, powerful and often overlooked healing tool in someone's cancer journey, the Cancer Canknot Foundation partners with CHEEKS Luxury Skin Clinic to offer oncology approved facials to cancer patients.
Cancer Research
We are devoted to raising funds and cancer awareness for cancer research and supporting families along the way. If you are an exempt organization engaged in furthering scientific research related to cancer, you could be eligible to receive support from Cancer Canknot.
Cancer Canknot Mindset
Mindset matters. Our mission is to inspire everyone impacted by cancer to approach their mindset in an optimistic way and unlock (sometimes an unknown) strength from within. Your Canknot request can be related to a need or experience that will enhance your mindset.
Community
While the efforts of cancer research continue to advance, it is important for The Foundation to support families along the way, which is why we also donate a portion of the net proceeds to support local families affected by cancer, by providing social, logistical, and certain financial support, as well as help them achieve their own Cancer Canknot. Everyone has a cancer canknot, what’s yours?
Who is eligible for a ‘Canknot’?
Cancer Canknot requests must meet these simple criteria:
If it’s a person(s) benefiting:
- Person benefiting must have a current medical diagnosis of cancer (it does not need to be terminal).
- Have not previously received a benefit from any wish-granting organization.
- Reside in or currently be treated in Vermont.
If it’s an organization benefiting:
- Must be an active 501(c)3 in good standing
- The organization’s primary mission must be related to cancer research
How to Start the Canknot Request Process:
All requests are initiated by completing a Canknot Request Form for either a person or organization. Once an initial request form is received, someone from the Cancer Canknot Foundation will reach out to gather more information. All requests received are reviewed by The Cancer Canknot Foundation Board of Directors on a periodic basis. We accept requests year-round, and do our best to accommodate requests in a timely manner.
